On the shores of the Black Sea is the most modern city of Georgia – Batumi. It is famous for its futuristic skyscrapers, beautiful promenade, year-round greenery, and the SEA. If you love modern architecture, tropical views, and sea breeze, a wedding in Batumi is a great choice.
Couples can choose a quick marriage registration at the House of Justice or a beautiful ceremony at the Wedding Palace also called “Dolphin" for its shape” Both buildings are stunning and located close to the sea. The Wedding Palace is surrounded by a lovely park with dancing fountains, a bamboo grove, and many sculptures. This park is a perfect spot for romantic photo shoots.
By the way, about photos. While Batumi is often associated with skyscrapers, few people know about its Old Town, a charming area with the stunning Europe Square. If you’re planning a wedding in Batumi, make sure to explore the narrow streets of this district. They reveal another side of the city – sophisticated, elegant, and mysterious. Ways to reach Batumi

Airplane
Batumi has a small airport. If your country has direct flights to it, this is the easiest way to reach the city. Even if it’s not on your route, save its location for later. It’s thrilling, but these moments will leave unforgettable memories.
Train from Kutaisi The best option for travelers flying with Wizzair to Georgia. The train routes pass through picturesque landscapes, and the 2 hours journey will fly by unnoticed. We recommend choosing tickets for the comfortable double-decker trains. The difference in price compared to cheaper trains is justified by the cleanliness of the carriages, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Tickets can be purchased here. You can buy tickets here.
Bus from Kutaisi
Another way to get to Batumi from Kutaisi is by comfortable buses departing from the airport every 30 minutes to an hour. You can buy tickets in advance or at the airport ticket counter after arrival. The trip takes about two hours, but it can take longer if road conditions worsen (due to accidents, landslides, or traffic). Keep this in mind when planning your journey. Traffic jams are especially heavy in the summer when more tourists head to the seaside. During this time, plan for at least two hours of travel.
Bus or Private Car from TurkeyBatumi is only 20 km from the Turkish border. Land travel is via the Sarpi checkpoint, and the nearest international airport is in Trabzon. If you live in Turkey or plan to fly to Trabzon, consider this option.
